Healing and Growth on a Southeast Georgia Farm

Find clear answers to your questions about our recovery program and unique farm-based approach.

What types of addiction does Mighty Man Ministry treat?

We walk alongside adult men who are ready to break free from substance dependence and rebuild their lives through a structured, residential recovery process. Our experience includes working with men affected by alcohol, prescription medications, and street drugs, and we take a whole-person approach focused on long-term transformation—not quick fixes.

Because we are not a medical facility, we do not provide medical detox services. Our program does not include initial alcohol or opiate detox. If you are facing severe alcohol or opiate dependence, please let us know when you reach out. In some cases, we may ask you to complete detox at a licensed medical facility before entering our long-term residential program, based on your individual needs and safety.

Our goal is to meet each man where he is, ensure he is prepared for success, and provide the right environment for real, lasting change.

Where is Mighty Man Ministry located?

Our facility is nestled on a peaceful 150-acre farm in Davisboro, Georgia, offering a serene healing environment.

How does the ministry fund its rehabilitation program?

Our in-house industries—M3 Auto, M3 Pallet World, M3 Printing & Signs, and M3 Hot Sauce—do more than generate income; they fuel transformation. These businesses sustain our program and directly fund the life-changing services we provide.

Every man in the process works not only for his own recovery, but to help make the way for the man coming behind him. We teach the discipline and responsibility of paying it forward, building a culture where progress is earned, stewardship is learned, and legacy matters.

Along the way, each participant gains practical, marketable skills designed to equip him for a productive and successful future. We don’t just help men get clean—we help them get prepared. Every participant is required to establish healthy, realistic goals and develop a clear game plan to follow after graduation.

During the program, outside employment is not permitted. All work is done within our industries, ensuring focus, accountability, and a shared commitment to sustaining the process. In this way, each man becomes part of something greater than himself—working to fund his own transformation while helping secure the future of those who will come next.

Who founded Mighty Man Ministry?

Gary L. Cobb is the founder of Mighty Man Ministry, and Broken Shackle Ranch where for over four decades he has devoted his life to helping men break free from addiction, destructive patterns, and spiritual captivity. With more than 15 years leading Mighty Man Ministry, Gary brings a rare combination of lived experience, biblical truth, and practical rehabilitation to the men he serves.

Gary’s approach is not theory-based or institutional—it is forged through real life, hard lessons, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Mighty Man Ministry operates as a regeneration process, not simply a recovery program, integrating Moral Reconation Therapy, structured discipleship, vocational training, and deep spiritual formation. The goal is not behavior modification, but transformed hearts, renewed minds, and restored men.

A mentor, teacher, and spiritual father to countless men, Gary is passionate about rebuilding identity, responsibility, and purpose. His leadership emphasizes obedience over excuses, truth over comfort, and relationship with God the Father through Christ above all else. Through Mighty Man Ministry, Gary continues to equip men to become sober, accountable, faith-filled leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.

What curriculum does Mighty Man Ministry teach?

First of all, Mighty Man is a faith-based program. We hold firm Christian values and principles, and it is our aim to ensure that all of our participants have the opportunity to enter into a lifelong, committed, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Our primary goal is to help facilitate that and provide an environment conducive to spiritual growth.

We consider our curriculum to be the best available, because we see it work consistently in the lives of our graduates. We call this a “process” not a program, because it is the “process” of regeneration and sanctification described in scripture. In order to truly overcome addiction, we need to be “transformed” by the renewing of our mind. Only through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit is this possible.

The Mighty Man curriculum is a Christ-centered regeneration process designed to bring lasting transformation—not just behavior modification. Built on a foundation of biblical truth and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), our curriculum challenges men to take personal responsibility, renew their thinking, and rebuild their lives from the inside out.

Through structured lessons, honest self-evaluation, group accountability, and spiritual formation, men learn to recognize destructive thought patterns, confront character issues, and develop the moral reasoning necessary for healthy relationships, steady work, and long-term sobriety. Each phase is intentionally designed to move a man from survival thinking to servant leadership, helping him discover his identity, purpose, and freedom in Christ.

This is not a quick fix. It is a proven process that equips men to live sober, disciplined, and productive lives—rooted in faith, accountability, and transformed thinking.

Our aim is not only to help men overcome addiction, we also want to equip them to be living examples, able to be used by God to help others when they graduate!
